This printer is a workhorse. We use it for faxing, scanning to file, and printing high quality pictures and documents. I've always been happy with the HP all-in-ones and this one seems to be the best so far.

This printer is easy to set up and use but has one major problem. After several hours of non-use the printer goes into sleep/power save mode with the On/Off switch blinking. The methods described in the users manual, (i.e. pressing the On/Off switch, or loading a sheet of paper into the Fax/Scan tray) *do not* bring the unit out of sleep/power save mode. The only method I have found that works is to unplug the unit from the wall and plug it back in. Then the unit takes between 5 and 10 minutes running power-on diagnostics before it is ready for use.
Note: there is no master power switch, so unplugging from the wall is the only thing that works.
