Comments about Seagate Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST3500320AS Hard Drive 500 GB - 7200 rpm - 3.5inch - Internal:

I went from an 80GB SATA I to this SATA II drive and the difference was noticeable.
It's even quieter than the smaller drive with less platters.

Service & Delivery comments:

The drive came packaged in a factory OEM box and was in fine shape when I opened the package.
The product shipped on time, but the site didn't update my status until the day before the drive arrived.

Comments about Seagate Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST3500320AS Hard Drive 500 GB - 7200 rpm - 3.5inch - Internal:

I replaced my two year old Maxtor drive with this one. Windows Vista 64bit boots roughly 33% faster and shuts down about 75% faster. Likely a portion has to do with reinstalling Vista, but even when I first installed Vista 64bit on the Maxtor it was always slow. Vista benchmark shows the drive score as a 5.9 - which is currently the top benchmark given to equipment per Miscrosoft. The drive appears to run cooler than the Maxtor. After transfering 200 GB between the drives, the Maxtor was almost too hot to touch yet the Seagate was only warm. I don't think you can go wrong with the Seagate!
